Rooted in family recipes and the streets of Mexico City, La Taquiza is a concept born out of our love for our country’s food and culture. As owner, Oscar Garcia Santaella, has always maintained there are two keys to a successful business – quality food and great customer service.

Getting his start doing caterings for local bars to opening his food trucks and now several locations in Houston’s most popular Food Halls, he has kept the quality and experience at the top.

15 years later he is running his businesses with the help of his wife and children, as was always a dream he imagined. His passion has seen many challenges but also given him the tools to make it in this country as an immigrant and the opportunity to provide for his family and their future.

We are proud to showcase exactly what Houston is all about, a melting pot of cultures and backgrounds. And our team shows just that and we want to keep it that way.

Our goal is to give people a glimpse of authentic Mexican street food. We are proud of what we are doing and hope everyone can join us and share our food and story.
